Green Job Opportunities in the Capital Region Focus of Panel Discussion at TEC-SMART; Hudson Valley Community College to Dedicate GE Wind Technology Lab at TEC-SMART

What: Panel discussion by area education and business professionals on the training and education needed by today's students who will be seeking jobs in the green energy sector.

Ceremony at the conclusion of the panel in which Hudson Valley will dedicate the GE Wind Technology Lab. Program will begin with remarks and a ribbon cutting and be followed by tours of the lab.

Who: Attending the panel discussion and dedication ceremony from Hudson Valley will be President Andrew J. Matonak; Attending for SUNY Adirondack will be President Ronald C. Heacock. Remarks will be given by Congressman Chris Gibson, 20th Congressional District and Francis J. Murray Jr., President and CEO of NYSERDA. Panelists include representatives from NYSERDA, GE Energy, GlobalFoundries, Ballston Spa Central School District and Hudson Valley Community College.

Attending the dedication ceremony for GE will be Chris Horne, Communications and Public Affairs Manager, GE Energy and Hudson Valley President Andrew Matonak.
