Hudson Valley Community College to Install Andrew J. Matonak, Ed.D. as its Sixth President

WHO: The Hudson Valley Community College community – the Board of Trustees, faculty, staff and students – and local, county, and state officials, including New York State Lt. Gov. Mary O. Donohue, State Senate Majority Leader Joseph L. Bruno, Rensselaer County Executive Kathleen M. Jimino and State University of New York Vice Chancellor and Chief of Staff Elizabeth "Betty" Capaldi.
WHAT: Andrew J. "Drew" Matonak, Ed.D., will be installed as the sixth president of Hudson Valley Community College.

Matonak, who has nearly 30 years of experience in higher education, joined the college as its sixth president in April 2005, after serving as president of Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon, Iowa, for three years. The installation ceremony is designed to officially welcome the president, and his family, to the college community and Capital Region. Hudson Valley Community College Board of Trustees Chairman Dr. Robert H. Hill II will preside over the event.
