Hudson Valley President Andrew J. Matonak to Throw Out First Pitch at ValleyCats Game

WHO: Hudson Valley Community College President Andrew J. Matonak, Ed.D.
WHAT: President Matonak – who played collegiate baseball at both Butler Community College in Pennsylvania and the College of Wooster in Ohio – will throw out the first pitch when the Tri-City ValleyCats meet the Oneonta Tigers.

Approximately 11:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2005; game time is noon.

President Matonak, who was a left-handed pitcher for the College of Wooster Scots from 1975-76, still holds the college’s record for the lowest career ERA at 1.73, allowing 35 earned runs over 182.1 innings pitched. He also ranks 10th on the all-time winning percentage list, with an 18-4 record and .818 winning percentage.
