Several Area High Schools to Compete in Trivia Challenge at Hudson Valley on Wednesday

WHO: Academic teams of students from Academy of the Holy Names, Averill Park High School, Colonie High School, Lansingburgh High School, LaSalle Institute, Schenectady High School, Scotia-Glenville High School, Troy High School and Voorheesville High School.
WHAT: The teams will gather at Hudson Valley Community College for the Viking Challenge, a fast-paced general knowledge test. This is the ninth year for the computerized trivia challenge, which is based on the popular board game Trivial Pursuit.

5:45 p.m. -7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 16

The first place team will receive a Pentium computer system, a copy of Encarta Reference software and a Trivial Pursuit CD Rom for their school, and each member of the winning team will receive a $500 scholarship to attend Hudson Valley and a scientific calculator.
