DETAILS: The students built the tanks through the MFT program\'s Capstone Project, which allows students to use the knowledge they have gained to build impressive, precision working models of machines. The project has been in the works since the 2001-02 academic year, and was sponsored by two local businesses, Benet Laboratories and CeramTech. The models – named 1812 The Uncle Sam, 9-11 Never Forget, 1207 Infamy and 2004 The Larkinator (dubbed such by the students after project advisor, Associate Professor David Larkin) – will be presented to the project\'s sponsors; Hudson Valley Community College; and the Center for Economic Growth at the college\'s 9th Capstone Ceremony at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center Auditorium.
