File Your New York State Student Aid Payment Application
The New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (NYSHESC) administers the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) grant and many scholarship programs using the New York State Student Aid Payment Application.
New York State residents who complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) electronically at www.fafsa.gov will be able to access the online application at www.tapweb.org. You will establish a user ID and PIN in order to apply or make changes, as needed.
If you did not complete your FAFSA online, you will be sent an email or postcard with instructions for completing the online application.
The application deadline is June 30 of the academic year for which aid is sought. (example: The 2018-2019 deadline is June 30, 2019.)
The New York State Aid For Part-Time Study Program (APTS) is a financial aid grant for part-time students meeting residence, income, academic, or other requirements, as established by state law.
Applications are available at the Mastrangelo Financial Aid Center or can be downloaded here. Completed APTS applications should be submitted to the Mastrangelo Financial Aid Center no later than the second week of classes. Students are notified of their awards by the 10th week of the semester.
Part-time students at approved schools in New York State who
were first-time, full-time freshmen in 2006-2007 or after may be eligible
for Part-Time TAP to help them pay for college.
To apply, complete and submit the FAFSA and New York State Student Aid Payment Application and follow the instructions provided.
