Science Study Center
The Science Study Center is located on the first floor in the northwest corner of the Science Center. Department faculty and peer tutors provide a welcoming atmosphere for students needing extended academic support in the natural and physical sciences.
Students often come to the Science Study Center to have their science-related questions answered by knowledgeable faculty, meet with their instructors and form study groups. The center also offers student peer tutors, textbooks, computer programs, reserve articles and other course-related material.
Missed laboratory work in biology may be made up in the wet lab area with an instructor's permission. Study groups may prepare for a laboratory practical exam using models, bones and microscope slides (available in the wet lab area).
Computers are available in the center and can be used for writing papers, doing research or viewing computer tutorials.
The Science Study Center is open Monday - Friday, from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters.
