There have been several changes to Hudson Valley Community College's men's and women's soccer schedules:

  • A men's home game against Columbia-Greene Community College has been canceled. The game, which originally was slated for September 29, was taken off the schedule because Columbia-Greene cancelled the remainder of its games.
  • A women's matchup with SUNY Delhi, which was supposed to take place at Hudson Valley on September 25, will instead be played at SUNY Delhi at 4 p.m. on October 4. The contest was postponed due to a lack of field space.
  • Three women's games – versus Adirondack Community College on October 3, versus Columbia-Greene Community College on October 8, and versus Fulton-Montgomery Community College on October 11 – have been canceled. Adirondack, Columbia-Greene and Fulton-Montgomery have all canceled the remainder of their games.
In the 2000-01 academic year, Hudson Valley's athletic teams combined to win 72 percent of their contests. The ice hockey team won the NJCAA championship, the baseball team earned a berth in the NJCAA World Series and the football team won the Region III title. The women's basketball team earned a No. 1 national ranking and turned in a 24-3 record while the men's hoop squad competed in the Region III championship game. Additionally, two Vikings earned Region III Player-of-the-Year status, 20 were named All-Region III performers, and 10 were honored with All-American status.
