Hudson Valley Women’s Soccer Suffers Overtime Loss to Third-Ranked Broome

The Hudson Valley Community College (5-4) women’s soccer team rallied from a two-goal halftime deficit but eventually fell to Broome Community College (6-1), 3-2, in the second overtime earlier tonight in Troy. Broome entered the game ranked No. 3 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.

Emily Dixon scored the game-winning goal for Broome two minutes into the second overtime.

Hudson Valley trailed 2-0 before Alyssa Cavosie (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa High School) scored off a cross from Andrea Huber (Catskill/Catskill High School) 13 minutes into the second half.

Brittany Wilkinson (Watervliet/Watervliet High School) tied the game for the Lady Vikings with her goal in the 76th minute.

Erika Puffer and Emily Rich each scored first half goals for Broome.
