O'Brien Leads Hudson Valley Past Morrisville

Sophomore Elizabeth O'Brien (Troy/Lansingburgh High School) scored a career-high five goals to lead the Hudson Valley Community College women's soccer team to a 7-2 win over host SUNY Morrisville in the opening round of the NJCAA Region III Division III tournament on Saturday.

Hudson Valley (10-6), the tournament's 10th seed, will travel to No. 2 Herkimer Community College on Wednesday, October 22 for a quarterfinal game. The contest kicks off at 3 p.m.

Freshmen Angela Cazzato (East Greenbush/Columbia High School) and Alicia Kozilsky (Waterford/Waterford-Halfmoon High School) also scored for Hudson Valley.

Freshman goalkeeper Kayla Froehlich (Loudonville/Shaker High School) made 20 saves for the Lady Vikings.
