Hudson Valley Women's Soccer Defeats Columbia-Greene

The Hudson Valley Community College women's soccer team improved to 9-6 on the season with a 4-1 win over Columbia-Greene Community College (2-7) earlier today in Troy. It was the final regular season game for Hudson Valley, which awaits a possible bid to the Region III tournament. The announcement will be made Thursday morning.

The Lady Vikings jumped out to a 2-0 first half lead on goals by freshmen Alicia Kozilsky (Waterford/Waterford-Halfmoon High School) and Angela Cazzato (East Greenbush/Columbia High School). Sophomore Elizabeth O'Brien (Troy/Lansingburgh High School) assisted on both goals.

O'Brien gave Hudson Valley a 3-0 lead, scoring from 15 yards away with seven minutes remaining in the game. Cazzato knocked home a penalty kick a minute later to give Hudson Valley its final score.
