Hudson Valley Women's Basketball Loses to Broome

The Hudson Valley Community College (10-6/9-5 Region III) women's basketball team concluded its first semester with a 63-51 loss to Broome Community College (7-3/7-2 Region III) today in Troy.

Broome connected on eight three-point baskets, which included five from freshman guard Deirdre Porto (Binghamton). Porto finished the game with 21 points. Sophomore guard Amber Pratt (McDonough) added 19 points.

Sophomore guard Molly McGuire (Ravena/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School) paced Hudson Valley with 23 points. Freshman guard Jenna Hughes (Poestenkill/Averill Park High School) added 10 points and came away with five steals.

Hudson Valley returns to action on Monday, January 8 when it hosts Clinton Community College.
