Hudson Valley Women’s Basketball Rallies to Beat Herkimer

The Hudson Valley Community College (4-1/3-1 Region III) women’s basketball team rallied from a 12-point halftime deficit to defeat Herkimer County Community College, 65-58, on Tuesday in Troy.

Sophomore forward Molly McGuire (Ravena/Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School) led four Hudson Valley players in double-figures scoring with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman guard Jackie Carraway (Troy/Lansingburgh High School) scored 13 points, all of which came in the second half. Freshman guard Jenna Hughes (Poestenkill/Averill Park High School) added 14 points and freshman forward Ryan Graham (Menands/Shaker High School) chipped in 10 points and five assists.

Dana Gentile (Marcy/Whitesboro High School) had 11 points to pace Herkimer (2-3/2-3 Region III)
