Women's Basketball Loses at Onondaga

The Hudson Valley Community College (4-12) women's basketball team suffered a 70-28 defeat at Onondaga Community College on Wednesday in Syracuse.

Four players finished in double-figures scoring for Onondaga, which forced Hudson Valley into 24 turnovers and held the Lady Vikings to 30.6 percent shooting from the floor. Briana Hall led the way for the Lazers with 18 points.

Sophomore Kristene Longendyke (Kingston/Kingston High School) had eight points and six steals for Hudson Valley. Freshman Kelley Barnes (Rotterdam/Mohonasen High School) finished with 10 rebounds.

Hudson Valley will visit Schenectady County Community College on Tuesday, January 17 for a 5 p.m. contest.
