Lady Vikings Defeated by TC3

The Hudson Valley Community College (8-13) women's basketball team lost to Tompkins Cortland Community College, 85-52, earlier today in Dryden.

The game was tied at 20-20 with six minutes remaining in the opening half before Tompkins Cortland (9-13) went on a 15-6 run to close out the half.The Panthers then scored the first 12 points of the second half and cruised to victory.

Freshman Jackie Sutton (Dryden/Dryden High School) had 27 points to lead the Panthers. Sophomore Meghan Orman (Aurora/Southern Cayuga High School) added 24 points.

Sophomore Elizabeth Ferenczy (Coxsackie/Coxsackie-Athens High School) had 15 points and eight rebounds to pace Hudson Valley. Sophomore Kate Collins (Eagle Mills/Tamarac High School) added 11 points.

Hudson Valley (52): Eryn Hockler 2-2-6, Kate Collins 5-1-11, Paige Chadwick 1-0-2, Stacey Swan 3-3-9, Amanda Carroll 3-1-7, Elizabeth Ferenczy 4-7-15, Marissa Wager 1-0-2, Totals: 19-14-52.

Tompkins Cortland (85): Shanica Porter 1-1-3, Maranda Kinsman 2-3-8, Jolene Phillips 0-1-1, Stacy Skrivan 4-6-15, Jackie Sutton 11-5-27, Meghan Orman 10-5-25, Kim Colombo 2-2-6, Totals: 30-23-85.
