Hudson Valley Women's Basketball Loses to Morrisville

The Hudson Valley Community College (8-13) women's basketball team suffered a 49-32 setback to Morrisville State College (7-13) earlier tonight in Troy.

Freshman forward Lindsay Conklin (Knox/Berne-Knox-Westerlo High School) had 21 points to lead Morrisville, which never trailed in the contest.

Freshman guard Stacey Swan (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa High School) paced Hudson Valley with nine points.

The Lady Vikings hurt their chances of winning by connecting on only three-of 14 free throw attempts.

Hudson Valley will travel to Tompkins-Cortland Community College on Saturday, February 5. The game is slated to begin at 1 p.m.

Morrisville State (49): McKenzie Hanehan 3-0-6, Lindsay Conklin 9-3-21, Donniesha Terry 3-0-6, Sarah Stoltz 3-0-6, Trisha Kaufman 2-0-4, Nicole Slover 2-2-6, Totals: 22-5-49.

Hudson Valley (32): Eryn Hockler 2-1-5, Kate Collins 3-1-7, Candra Scott 1-0-2, Paige Chadwick 1-1-3, Stacey Swan 4-0-9, Elizabeth Ferenczy 2-0-4, Marissa Wager 1-0-2, Totals: 14-3-32.
