Women's Basketball Defeats Adirondack

The Hudson Valley Community College (8-12) women's basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak with a 54-51 win at Adirondack Community College on Tuesday.
Hudson Valley shot 16-of-27 from the free throw line, which proved to be the difference in the game. Sophomore forward Elizabeth Ferenczy (Coxsackie/Coxsackie-Athens High School) hit a pair of free throws in the final minute to clinch the game for the Lady Vikings. She finished with 20 points and 14 rebounds.
Freshman guard Stacey Swan (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa High School) added 14 points for Hudson Valley, including back-to-back three point baskets with four minutes remaining to give the Lady Vikings the lead for good. Sophomore forward Eryn Hockler (Troy/Troy High School) chipped in 10 points.
