Hudson Valley Women's Basketball Falls to Mohawk Valley

The Hudson Valley Community College (7-10) women's basketball team lost to Mohawk Valley Community College, 71-28, earlier today in Troy.
The game was tied, 11-11, with 14 minutes remaining in the opening half before Mohawk Valley went on a 31-7 run to close out the half.
Four players finished in double-figures scoring for Mohawk Valley (18-1), which has won 18 consecutive games and is ranked No. 4 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll. Sophomore Clarissa Newton (Albany) led the way with 17 points. Freshman guard Vanessa Rivera (Bronx) added 15 points.
Sophomore forward Kate Collins (Eagle Mills/Tamarac High School) led Hudson Valley with 10 points and eight rebounds.
