Hudson Valley Women's Basketball Falls to Finger Lakes

The Hudson Valley Community College (6-9) women's basketball team suffered a 79-43 setback to Finger Lakes Community College (11-1), which is ranked No. 7 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll, earlier tonight in Troy.

Danielle Smith (Honeoye High School) led Finger Lakes with 24 points. Chrissy DeFisher (Marion High School) added 21 points.

The Lady Vikings were led by sophomore forward Elizabeth Ferenczy's (Coxsackie/Coxsakie-Athens High School) 10 points and seven rebounds. Sophomore Kate Collins (Eagle Mills/Tamarac High School) added five points and 12 boards.

Hudson Valley will host Schenectady County Community College at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 18.

Finger Lakes (79): Stefany Brown 4-2-10, Christine Princehorn 3-0-6, Chrissy DeFisher 10-1-21, Erin Tiernan 8-0-16, Danielle Smith 9-4-24, Danielle Delyser 1-0-2, Totals 35-7-79.

Hudson Valley (43): Eryn Hockler 4-1-9, Kate Collins 2-1-5, Paige Chadwick 0-5-5, Stacey Swan 3-2-9, Amanda Carroll 0-1-1, Elizabeth Ferenczy 4-2-10, Marissa Wager 2-0-4, Totals 15-12-43.
