Lady Vikings Defeat Delhi

Sophomore forward Elizabeth Ferenczy (Coxsackie/Coxsackie-Athens High School) finished with 12 points and a career-high 21 rebounds to lead the Hudson Valley Community College (6-7) women's basketball team to a 46-39 win over SUNY Delhi (4-7) earlier tonight in Troy.

Hudson Valley never trailed in the game. The Lady Vikings raced out to a 13-2 lead during the first five minutes of the game, and Delhi never cut the margin to less than seven points the rest of the game.

Sophomore guard Jocelyn Moy (Greenwich/Greenwich High School) filled the stat sheet for Hudson Valley. She finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and six steals.

Delhi was led by Keneil Reiney's (Peekskill High School) 10 points.

The Lady Vikings will play their final game of the semester when they host Broome Community College at 5 p.m. on Thursday, December 9.

Hudson Valley (46): Kate Collins 2-1-5, Candra Scott 2-0-4, Paige Chadwick 0-2-2, Stacey Swan 2-0-4, Amanda Carroll 2-2-6, Jocelyn Moy 4-5-13, Elizabeth Ferenczy 4-4-12, Totals: 16-14-46.

Halftime: Hudson Valley, 28-16.
