Lady Vikings Give Colleen Ferris Milestone Win

The Hudson Valley Community College (4-2) women's basketball team went on a 12-0 run to start the second half and rolled to a 57-41 win over Columbia-Greene Community College (1-4) on Thursday night in Hudson.

The win gave Hudson Valley head coach Colleen Ferris her 100th win. In her sixth season, Ferris' all-time record at Hudson Valley is 100-50.

Sophomore forward Liz Fernczy (Coxsackie/Coxsackie-Athens High School) led Hudson Valley with 20 points and 17 rebounds. Sophomore guard Jocelyn Moy (Greenwich/Greenwich High School) added 17 points.

Hudson Valley will play in the Orange County Community College Tournament this weekend. The Lady Vikings will meet Orange at 2 p.m. on Saturday, and will face Globe Tech at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
