Women's Basketball Rolls Over Morrisville

The Hudson Valley Community College (14-8/12-6 Region III) women's basketball team scored 51 points in the first half and went on to defeat Morrisville, 84-29, on Thursday in Morrisville.

Six of the seven players on Hudson Valley's roster finished in double-figures scoring. Freshman guard Jocelyn Moy (Greenwich/Greenwich High School) finished with 19 points, six assists and seven steals to lead Hudson Valley.

Sophomore forward Latrice Cowart (Severn, MD/Meade High School) contributed 10 points and 15 rebounds. Sophomore guard Lindsay Frament (Troy/Catholic Central High School) added 14 points while freshmen Kate Collins (Troy/Tamarac High School) and Megan Baldwin (Glenmont/Bethlehem High School) added 13 points apiece. Sophomore forward Amy Trowbridge (Chatham/Chatham High School) chipped in 12 points.

Ashawn Ferguson (Brooklyn) led Morrisville (0-19) with 17 points.
