Women's Basketball Defeat Adirondack 70-34

The Hudson Valley Community College (13-8/11-6 Region III) women's basketball team won its fourth consecutive game with a 70-34 win at Adirondack Community College on Tuesday.

Sophomore forward Latrice Cowart (Severn, MD/Meade High School) had 21 points and seven rebounds to lead Hudson Valley. In the process, she surpassed current assistant coach Chris Kelly into second place on the college's career rebounding chart. Cowart currently has 547 career boards.

Adirondack opened the game on a 9-0 run, but the Lady Vikings rebounded and were up, 33-22, at halftime.

Sophomore forward Amy Trowbridge (Chatham/Chatham High School) and freshman guard Jocelyn Moy (Greenwich/Greenwich High School) added 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Hudson Valley.

Adirondack (34): Burkins 0-2-2, Chadwick 5-4-14, Durmont 2-2-6, Chaney 1-0-2, Corp 1-0-2, Cross 3-0-6, Dunfee 1-0-2, Totals: 13-8-34.

Halftime: Hudson Valley, 33-22.
