Women's Basketball Defeats Herkimer 64-51

The Hudson Valley Community College women's basketball team defeated Herkimer Community College, 64-51, on Saturday afternoon.

It was the third straight win for the Lady Vikings (12-8/10-6 Region III) and their seventh win in the last nine games. Herkimer falls to 7-15 on the season.

Sophomore forward Megan Baldwin (Glenmont/Bethlehem High School) hit three shots from beyond the arc en route to a game-high 17 points for Hudson Valley. Sophomore forward Latrice Cowart (Severn, MD/Meade High School) had 11 points and 16 rebounds. Freshman guard Jocelyn Moy (Greenwich/Greenwich High School) contributed 11 points and five steals, and freshman guard Kate Collins (Troy/Tamarac High School) chipped in 10 points.

Hudson Valley will travel up I-87 to Queensbury on Tuesday, February 3 to meet Adirondack Community College. Tip-off is scheduled for 5 p.m.
