Lady Vikings Roll To Ninth Consecutive Win

Early Run Against SUNY Cobleskill
Pushes Hudson Valley's Record To 9-0

Troy, November 30 - The Lady Vikings ran their unbeaten streak to nine games with an 88-39 trouncing of Mountain Valley Conference rival SUNY Cobleskill this evening. Playing at Troy's McDonough Complex, Hudson Valley jumped out to 18-2 lead in the opening 3:30 and enjoyed a 48-20 advantage by halftime.

The early lead was made possible by two factors: Seven steals and nine-of-11 field goal shooting in the first 3:30. Hudson Valley initially contested every Cobleskill pass and Lindsey Bradt (Bishop Maginn) recorded four of her eight steals during the 18-2 run. Kara Sheehan (Catholic Central) was the primary recipient of Bradt's pilfering ways, scoring eight points during the stretch.

Sheehan, who tallied 15 points in the first half, scored a game-high 26 on the night. She also contributed four steals and three rebounds. Bradt had 23 points, including 15 in the second half, and nine rebounds.

Hudson Valley's Megan Davis (Greenwich) had 11 points and Valerie Boyce (Schuylerville) had 10.

The Lady Vikings are now 9-0 in 2000. Cobleskill dropped to 2-6 with the loss.
