Hudson Valley Falls to Fulton-Montgomery

The Hudson Valley Community College (19-8) women's basketball team suffered a 64-45 defeat at Fulton-Montgomery Community College on Tuesday. Fulton-Montgomery entered the game ranked third in the latest NJCAA Division III poll.

Sophomore forward Angela Von Wergers (Albany/Bishop Gibbons High School) finished with 18 points to pace Hudson Valley. Freshman center Latrice Cowart (Severn, MD/Meade High School) added 13 points.

Hudson Valley will travel to Rochester on Saturday for its final regular season game. The Lady Vikings will face Monroe Community College at 3 p.m.


Hudson Valley (45): Carolyn Keeler 2-0-4, Casey Brinkman 1-1-3, Lindsay Frament 1-0-3, Latrice Cowart 5-3-13, Tanya DeLaMater 1-2-4, Angela Von Wergers 6-5-18, Totals: 16-11-45.

Fulton-Montgomery (64): Wamalla 3-0-6, Witherspoon 4-2-10, Thomas 5-0-13, Kenchen 2-0-5, Morrolla 1-0-2, Collar 10-1-21, Scott 0-3-3, Phillips 2-0-4, Totals: 27-6-64.

Halftime: Fulton-Montgomery, 28-22.
