Lady Vikings Defeat Adirondack 76-45

Sophomore forward Angela Von Wergers (Albany/Bishop Gibbons High School) finished with 24 points and 15 rebounds to power the Hudson Valley Community College (11-5) women's basketball team to a 76-45 win over Adirondack Community College earlier tonight in Troy.

Four players finished in double-figure scoring for Hudson Valley. Sophomore guard Casey Brinkman (Troy/Troy High School) had 22 points and five assists. Sophomore forward Carolyn Keeler (Cohoes/Cohoes High School) finished with 12 points and seven boards while sophomore guard Tanya DeLaMater (Troy/Tamarac High School) tallied 10 points and 12 assists.

Sophomore forward Kate Nevins (Schuylerville High School) led Adirondack (2-10) with 17 points.

Hudson Valley will host SUNY Delhi on Thursday, January 15. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Hudson Valley (11-5): Carolyn Keeler 6-0-12, Danielle White 2-0-4, Casey Brinkman 10-0-22, Lindsay Frament 2-0-4, Tanya DeLaMater 2-5-10, Angela Von Wergers 10-4-24, Totals 32-9-76.
