Hudson Valley's Bradt Honored By Region III

Hudson Valley Community College All-American guard/forward Lindsey Bradt (Bishop Maginn) was named NJCAA Division III Region III Female Athlete of the Week on the most recent Region III athletic report. The weekly report encompasses more than 30 colleges from across the Northeast.

Bradt was honored for her efforts in three of Hudson Valley's recent women's basketball games. During the three-game stretch, Bradt averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds per contest, leading the Lady Vikings to the Tarentelli Classic title. She also was named MVP of the tournament.

The Lady Vikings, currently on a holiday break, are 9-3 and are ranked fifth in the nation among Division III junior colleges. Bradt is averaging 20.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game. She is the second-leading scorer in the nation among NJCAA Division III players.

Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions; Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, Hudson Valley has an enrollment of more than 9,000 students each year, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining.
