Women’s Volleyball Takes Second Place at Fulton-Montgomery Invitational

This past weekend the Lady Vikings volleyball team traveled to Fulton-Montgomery where they placed second in the Fulton-Montgomery Invitational. The team fell in the championship game, 25-18, 25-17 to Niagara Community College. Hudson Valley defeated SUNY Delhi, Fulton-Montgomery Community College, Onondaga Community College and Adirondack Community College to advance to the championship game. Outstanding performances came from Emily Brown (Averill Park High School/Sand Lake), who served 152 times during the tournament with only 10 missed serves, and Brittanae Drake (Mountain Pointe High School/Phoenix, AZ), who had 138 kills. Amanda Kwiecien (Spa Catholic High School/Saratoga Springs) had 131 assists on the day, and Lauren Crabbe (Burnt Hills High School/Burnt Hills) had 141 assists.
