Jamie Trudeau Of Cohoes Earns Postseason Softball Honors

Softball player Jamie Trudeau of Cohoes was recently honored with First Team All-Mountain Valley Conference and Second Team All-NJCAA Division III Region III status. Hudson Valley Community College's starting second baseman, Trudeau helped the Lady Vikings post a 22-9 record with stellar play at the plate and in the field.

Playing in all 31 of Hudson Valley's games, Trudeau had a .962 fielding percentage. Additionally, she contributed 25 RBI and had a .395 batting average.

Trudeau, who just completed her first year at Hudson Valley, came to the college from Cohoes High School.

Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions; Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences. One of 30 community colleges in the State University of New York system, Hudson Valley has an enrollment of more than 9,000 students each year, and is known as a leader in distance learning initiatives and worker retraining.
