Hudson Valley’s Tracy Chesebrough Recognized by NJCAA for Second Straight Week

Tracy Chesebrough (Duanesburg/Duanesburg High School), a sophomore on the Hudson Valley Community College softball team, was named the NJCAA Division III Pitcher of the Week for the second straight work for her performance last week.

Chesebrough posted a 4-0 record and allowed no runs and just five hits in 19 innings of work. She struck out 41 and walked just one.

Chesebrough is 17-4 with a national-best 0.61 earned run average this season. She has struck out a nations-best 227 batters and walked just 11 in 115.1 innings of work.

Hudson Valley has won 18 straight games to improve its record to 19-10 this season and is ranked No. 10 in the latest NJCAA Division III Poll. The Lady Vikings will put that ranking to the test this weekend when they travel to fourth-ranked Alfred State College on Saturday, April 28, and visit top-ranked and defending national champion Monroe Community College on Sunday, April 29.
