Hudson Valley Men's Soccer Captures Viking Classic with a 6-3 Win over Fulton-Montgomery

Sophomore forward Rafael Luna (Albany/Albany High School) scored two goals and assisted on two others to lead the Hudson Valley Community College (2-0) men's soccer team to a 6-3 win over Fulton-Montgomery Community College (0-2) on the final day of the Viking Classic.
Hudson Valley was declared the tournament champion by virtue of yesterday's win over Springfield Tech along with today's win. Tompkins-Cortland Community College and Springfield Tech split their two games while Fulton-Montgomery dropped both games of the tournament.
Fulton-Montgomery got goals from freshman midfielder Hiroke Kawazoe and sophomore midfielder Derrick Faulkner to take an early 2-0 lead.
Hudson Valley sophomore midfielder Roberto Besso (Colonie/South Colonie High School) and freshman fullback Donald Govel (Guilderland/Guilderland High School) each scored goals off of corner kicks to even the game at 2-2 entering the break.
Luna scored with 31:23 remaining in the game to give the Vikings the lead for good.
Freshman forward Mike Vooris (Castleton/Maple Hill High School) and freshman midfielder Paul Lindon (Grenada/Boca Secondary) also tallied goals for Hudson Valley.
