Hudson Valley Vikings Weekly Sports Wrap-Up 9/30-10/6

The Hudson Valley men’s soccer team has shutout its last three opponents to run its record to 9-4 and earn a No. 10 ranking in the latest edition of the NJCAA Division III national poll. Hudson Valley got a goal and two assists from Rafael Luna (Albany/Albany) in a 3-0 win over visiting Adirondack Community College on Wednesday, October 2. Roberto Besso (Colonie/South Colonie) netted his fourth goal of the season to give the Vikings a 1-0 win over then ninth-ranked Broome on Saturday.

Luna has scored seven goals and dished 10 assists for Hudson Valley this season while goalkeeper Peter Testa (Niskayuna/Niskayuna) has allowed only 17 goals in 13 games. Faber Kelly (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs) has six goals and six assists.
