The Hudson Valley Community College men’s basketball team (16-8) defeated North Country Community College (17-6) 102-92 on Saturday afternoon.
With 20 seconds remaining in the first half, Christian Jones (Waterford/Waterford) hit a baseline jumper to tie the Saints, 45-45. After a time-out, Hudson Valley pushed the ball offensively for the next three minutes and went on a 20-2 run. This included two deep threes by Brandon Palmer (Columbia/East Greenbush), giving the Vikings a nine point advantage. The Vikings would maintain the lead for the remaining ten minutes of the game, cruising to their fifth straight victory.
