Men’s Basketball Holds on to Top Dutchess

The Hudson Valley Community College men’s basketball team (2-1) defeated Dutchess Community College (0-2) 82-80 on Tuesday evening.

Trailing by one with less than 15 seconds left in the game, Jose Reyes (Shenendehowa/Clifton Park) drove through the lane converting on a three-point play to put Hudson Valley up by two. Dutchess failed to convert on the following possession to give the Vikings the two point victory. Reyes finished with a game high 24 points and Brandon Dean (Flagler Palm Coast/Bunnell, FL) chipped in 20 points. Jeremy Taylor (Catskill/Catskill) recorded a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds, while Nate Krimsky (Berne-Knox/Berne) added ten points, nine rebounds, and four blocks.

The Vikings host North Country on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.
