Combo Guard out of Florida Signs LOI with Vikings

The Hudson Valley Community College men’s basketball team brought in another 2012-13 season prospect this afternoon, this time out of the state of Florida.

Brandon Dean, a 6-1 combo guard out of Flagler Palm Coast High School in Palm Coast, Florida signed a letter of intent to the Vikings and head coach Ken Dagostino. Dean is Flagler’s all-time leading scorer with 2,374 career points. He averaged 28.4 points per game and 6.3 assists per game in his senior season. Dean was 1st Team All-State in his junior and senior seasons, a three-time District 6A Player of the Year, four-time District 6A All-Conference, and was named 2010 Scholar-Athlete of the Year in the district.

He was recruited out of high school by Davidson College, Eastern Tennessee State University, Florida A&M University, Florida Atlantic University, Florida State University, Jacksonville University, Shaw University, University of Central Florida and Wofford College.

Dean joins a group that was headlined by Section II standouts Sajae Pryor out of Lansingburgh and Jose Reyes out of Shenendehowa.
