Hudson Valley Men’s Basketball Defeats Adirondack

Sophomore forward Khylan Hunt (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs High School) finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Hudson Valley Community College (16-10) men’s basketball team to an 88-76 win over Adirondack Community College (10-13) earlier tonight in Troy.

Already Hudson Valley’s top all-time rebounder with 543 career boards, Hunt moved into seventh place on Hudson Valley’s all-time scoring list with 894 career points. He passed former standout Dennis Pitaniello, who amassed 893 points in 1998-2000.

Freshman forward Kevin Goutos (Altamont/Guilderland High School) added 17 points and sophomore forward Allan Dickson (Troy/Troy High School) chipped in 14 points and four steals.

Adirondack was led by freshman guard Yhashin White’s (Brooklyn/Canarsie High School) 27 points. Freshman Dave Trottier (Queensbury/Queensbury High School) and Sean Robinson (Bronx/Art & Design High School) added 13 points apiece.

Hudson Valley will return to action at 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 16 against Columbia-Greene Community College.
