Hudson Valley Men's Basketball Wins Third Straight

Sophomore guard Mike Collopy (Averill Park/Averill Park High School) scored a season-high 19 points to lead the Hudson Valley Community College (11-7/9-7 Region III) men's basketball team to a 72-56 win over Mohawk Valley Community College (11-7/8-7 Region III) earlier today in Troy.
Hudson Valley's defense held the Hawks to just 29.7 percent (11-for-37) shooting in the second half as the Vikings expanded a narrow 32-27 lead at the half to a 65-45 lead with three minutes remaining.
Sophomore Allan Dickson (Troy/Troy High School) added 16 points and 11 rebounds for the Vikings.
Freshman Greg Campbell (Bronx) paced Mohawk Valley with 16 points.
Hudson Valley, which has won three straight games and four of its last five games since the semester break, will host Tompkins Cortland Community College at 2 p.m. tomorrow.
