Men's Basketball Loses High-Scoring Affair

Despite its best offensive output of the season, the Hudson Valley Community College men's basketball team (8-7) could not stop Onondaga Community College in a 104-91 loss to the Lazers in Syracuse on Wednesday.
Hudson Valley shot 55.2 percent (37-for-67) from the floor in the game but could not overcome Onondaga's 11 three-point baskets. Adrian Hanks and Kenny Gethers led the Lazers with 23 and 20 points, respectively.
Sophomore Larry Tape (Syracuse/Cicero-North Syracuse High School) led Hudson Valley with 18 points and nine rebounds. Sophomore Allan Dickson (Troy/Troy High School) and Mike Collopy (Averill Park/Averill Park High School) added 17 points apiece.
Sophomore Khylan Hunt (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs High School) finished with 13 points and has become only the 10th player in the program's history to score more than 700 career points. He currently has 710 points in his two-year career.
