Hudson Valley Men's Basketball Downs Cayuga

The Hudson Valley Community College (1-0) men's basketball team got its season off to a good start with a 94-86 win over Cayuga Community College (0-1) earlier today in Troy.
Five players finished in double-figures scoring for Hudson Valley led by freshman guard Aric Kucel (Gloversville/Gloversville High School), who finished with 19 points and five assists. Sophomore forward Antwan Gibson (Troy/Troy High School) scored a career-high 18 points to go along with seven rebounds. The Vikings also received 13 points and nine rebounds from sophomore forward Bill Heslin (Schaghticoke/Hoosic Valley High School), 12 points and seven boards from freshman center Larry Tape (Cicero/Cicero-North Syracuse High School), and 14 points from sophomore forward Bob Boughton (Glenmont/Bethlehem High School).
Hudson Valley will host North Country Community College on Saturday, November 8 at 3 p.m.
