Vikings Men's Hoop Team Moves To 5-0
As Five Players Reach Double figures

    TROY, November 18 – Hudson Valley Community College's men's basketball team used a solid team effort to overwhelm Finger Lakes Community College 89-75 this afternoon. Five Vikings – Kurt Bush (Newcomb-Minerva), Billy Etue (Heatly), Kerey Johnson (Schenectady), Jason McKinney (South Glens Falls) and Kyle Miller (Columbia) – reached double figures, propelling Hudson Valley to its fifth straight victory without a defeat.

    Bush led Hudson Valley to a comfortable first-half lead, 47-27, scoring all of his team-high 17 points in the first 20 minutes. The second-year forward also had four assists and three rebounds. In all, twelve players reached the scoring column for the Vikings. Miller had ten points, four assists and four steals. Thomas Perren (Brotmanville, NJ) contributed nine rebounds and eight points.

     While Hudson Valley improved to 5-0 with the non-conference win, Finger Lakes dropped to 2-3.
