Vikings Dominate Second Half To Capture Victory

Hudson Valley Downs Adirondack, 72-46

Troy, N.Y., February 9, 2002 – Hudson Valley Community College used a 25-9 run over the final twelve minutes of play to put away Adirondack Community College, 72-46, at Troy's McDonough Complex this afternoon. The Vikings, who outscored Adirondack 40-16 in the second half, were led by Mike Lazzari (Bishop Gibbons H.S.), who finished with 10 points and five steals.

Jeremy Schneible (Greenwich H.S.) and Steve Valente (La Salle Institute) had 12 points each. Hudson Valley also received a solid effort from Paolo Walker (Columbia H.S.), who chipped in with nine points, eight rebounds and three steals. Joe Bell (Albany H.S.) tossed in 10 points.
    Hudson Valley improves to 13-8 on the year. Adirondack is now 9-15 overall. The Vikings host Schenectady County Community College on at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12.
