Hudson Valley Lacrosse Players Recognized by Region and Conference

After advancing to the semifinals of the NJCAA Region III tournament for the first time in eight years, several Hudson Valley Community College lacrosse players received accolades for their performances during the 2007 season.

Sophomore goaltender Ryan DeJordy (East Greenbush/Columbia High School), sophomore midfielder Nick DeMarco (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa High School) and sophomore attack Ian MacMaster (Albany/LaSalle Institute) each earned Second Team All-Region and All-Mountain Valley Conference recognition.

DeJordy posted a .637 save percentage and had an 8.7 goals against average. DeMarco had 21 goals and 18 assists and MacMaster led the team in scoring with 38 goals and 15 assists.

In addition, freshman defenseman Matt Colluccia (Queensbury/Queensbury High School) earned All-Mountain Valley Conference recognition and head coach Roger Manion was named the Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the Year. Manion was assisted this season by Hudson Valley alum Joe Hayes.

Hudson Valley finished the 2007 campaign with a 9-7 record, falling to eventual national champion Onondaga Community College in the semifinals of the Region III tournament.
