Hudson Valley Lacrosse Shuts Out Finger Lakes

Sophomore goaltender Ryan DeJordy (East Greenbush/Columbia High School) stopped 13 shots to lead the Hudson Valley Community College (7-5/6-3 Region III) lacrosse team to a 14-0 win over Finger Lakes Community College (6-7/5-4 Region III) in what could prove to be a pivotal game when the Region III Tournament pairings come out Sunday.

Sophomore Ian MacMaster (Albany/LaSalle Institute) led Hudson valley’s offensive attack with four goals and two assists. Sophomore Rich Vazzana (East Greenbush/Columbia High School) had three goals and one assist and freshman Devon Boyd (Baltimore, MD/Northwestern High School) added two goals.

Hudson Valley, which sports a 3-0 Mountain valley Conference record, will play Herkimer County Community College for the conference championship at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 26 in Herkimer.
