Hudson Valley Falls to Delhi 12-7

The Hudson Valley Community College lacrosse team suffered a 12-7 loss to SUNY Delhi this afternoon in Troy.

Hudson Valley falls to 4-2 on the season and will play at SUNY Canton on Saturday, April 19. Delhi, ranked fourth in the latest Region III report, improves to 6-1.

After opening up a 5-3 lead in the first quarter, Delhi proceeded to score the next seven goals and held off a fourth quarter charge by Hudson Valley to take the win.

Sophomore Anthony Moro (Cortland/Cortland High School) scored four goals to lead Hudson Valley. Freshman Eric DeSalvatore (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa High School) added two goals.

Delhi was paced by Ryan Short (Whitney Point), who finished with three goals and two assists.
