Hudson Valley Lacrosse Defeats Morrisville 9-3

Freshman Eric DeSalvatore (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa High School) scored four goals to lead the Hudson Valley Community College lacrosse team to a 9-3 win over SUNY Morrisville earlier today in Troy.

Hudson Valley raises its record to 3-0. It is the first time Hudson Valley has won three straight games to open the season since 1993. Morrisville drops to 0-5.

Hudson Valley fell behind, 2-1, with 7:57 remaining in the opening quarter before a pair of goals by DeSalvatore and a goal by freshman Anthony Moro (Cortland/Cortland High School) gave the Vikings a 4-2 lead at the break. Hudson Valley then scored the first five goals of the second half to put the Mustangs away.

Moro and freshman Willie Munoz (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa High School) added two goals apiece for Hudson Valley while sophomore Brian Samoranski (Ballston Spa/Ballston Spa High School) chipped in one goal.

Sophomore Donald Feldmaier (North Greenbush/Columbia High School) and freshman Will Stockman (Albany/Colonie High School) combined to made 10 saves in goal for Hudson Valley.
