The Hudson Valley Community College hockey team defeated Siena College's club team, 7-5 in a very physical, high scoring affair on Saturday, Nov. 21. In the contest there were 30 total penalties called, 15 on each team.

Mike Walsh (LaSalle, East Greenbush), Tim Zimmerman (Kings Park, Kings Park) and Brendan Costin (Lynnfield, Lynnfield, MA) got the Vikings off to a great start as they each score goals to put Hudson Valley up 3-0 in the second period. That would be all the Vikings would need as there were several more goals scored in the game but Hudson Valley never relinquished the lead. David Gordon (St. Mary's, Lynnfield, MA) scored two goals on the day and Zimmerman added a second for himself as he tapped an empty-netter.

The Vikings will be back in action after the holiday break on Saturday, Dec., 5, as they play host to Erie CC at 7 p.m.
