Hudson Valley Hockey Records Second Straight Shutout

The Hudson Valley Community College (2-0) ice hockey team rolled to an 11-0 win over the Boston Jr. Blackhawks earlier this afternoon in Troy.

Seven different players scored for the Vikings, who were led by freshman Jeff Beecher's (South Glens Falls/South Glens Falls High School) three goals and two assists. Sophomores Jeff Weaver (Abington, PA/Uppermoreland High School) and Devin Krichbaum (Pattersonville/Sault Ste Marie, MI High School) each had two goals and two assist.

Hudson Valley also received goals from freshman Chris Gramlich (Philadelphia, PA/Bishop McDevitt High School) and sophomores Stephen Barrett (Claverack/Hudson High School), Aaron Coopersmith (Souderton, PA/Souderton High School) and Travis Larson (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School).

Sophomore goaltender Bryan McDonald (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa High School) stopped 14 shots to record the shutout. He has shutout four of his last five opponents dating back to last season.
