Hudson Valley Hockey Skates Past Hoosac

The Hudson Valley Community College (4-3) ice hockey team scored three third period goals in a 4-3 win over Hoosac School (2-1) earlier tonight in Troy.
Freshman forward Joe Jeram (Latham/Shaker High School) put back a rebound for the game-winning goal with 2:46 remaining in the contest to give the Vikings the win.
Trailing 2-1 entering the third period, Hudson Valley tied the game - 3:14 into the third period - on a goal by freshman Andrew Usas (Saratoga Springs/Winchendon, MA School). The Vikings took their first lead of the contest 29 seconds later when freshman Stephen Barrett (Claverack/Hudson High School) found the back of the net to make it 3-2.
The Owls, who held a 43-21 shot advantage, tied the game at 3-3 when Jeff Morgan found the back of the net for his third goal of the game.
Freshman goaltender Alex Glessing (Saratoga Springs/Saratoga Springs High School) stopped 40 shots in his first start for Hudson Valley.
