Former CBA Goaltender Records 23 Saves
To Help Vikings Earn 4-0 Victory

    Troy, November 21Jason Vasco (CBA) shut the door on North Country Community College this evening, turning aside all 23 shots the Saints sent his way and leading Hudson Valley to a 4-0 Eastern Junior College Hockey League victory.

    Forward Jim Sturges (East Hampton, MA) put the Vikings on the board at 12:59 in the first period. Brian Dudek (Pearl River) and Kyle Reddon (Saratoga) were each credited with an assist.

    On the game, Hudson Valley outshot North Country 34-23. In addition to Sturges' goal, Mike Paine (Saratoga), Josh Cottrell (Ballston Spa) and Chris Paine (Saratoga) each notched a score.

    Hudson Valley improved to 6-2 with the win; the loss drops North Country to 3-2.

    Hudson Valley Community College, located in Troy, offers more than 50 degree and certificate programs in four academic divisions; Business; Engineering and Industrial Technologies; Health Sciences; and Liberal Arts and Sciences.
